GOD CARES FOR HIS CHILDREN

My husband and I had been renting for sometime. We had 4 stair-step children and when we received extra money it usually went for the necessities of life, Our children at the time were three years, two years, one year and a newborn. Our landlord told us they had sold the home we rented and we had 30 days to vacate. During the next few days while my husband was at work I scanned the paper for apartments for a place to rent. We had wonderful references but when people would see our 4 children they wouldn't allow us to rent. They wouldn't even look at our references. Most told us they would only rent to people with 2 kids much less 4 children. This was before they passed laws to protect people with children renting. One day I was so exhausted, going from place to place . We only had a few weeks left and we still hadn't even seen a place we could afford or that allowed four children. We loved our children dearly, and served the Lord to the best of our ability, My husband was a wonderful Christian father, who worked so hard . We had a son who had a lot of medical bills and had been in the hospital for 5 weeks and 3 days without insurance. General Dynamics had laid my husband off during that time when Terry became ill. That left us owning a $20,000.00 bill to the hospital. On top of having to look for a home... I came in so tired and discouraged . I fed the children and put them down for their naps . Then I went into the other bed room and fell on my face before God and told the Lord , God you told us you would never leave us nor forsake us. Father you know how you love your son. Well, my children need a home and I'm so exhausted , if you will provide us with a home I will give you all the praise and glory and will never take any credit. Besides I don't think I have any faith left. I went and laid down and that evening my husband came in and we were all asleep. He woke me up and said "Honey, get dressed and dress the kids. I saw a house for sale." I said "We can't afford a house to buy." He wouldn't take no for an answer. We viewed the house and it was just what we needed. They wanted $1000.00 down and take over payments. My husband stood in the front yard and prayed Lord if you want us to have this house don't let anyone else check on this house, and Lord let it be in the Castleberry School District. (that was a school with a Godly teacher ) He knocked on the door and they said the other side of the street is Lakeworth, this side is Castleberry. We told them we didn't have any money but could we put a contract in on the home and if anyone came up with the money before us, they could go over our heads. They agreed. No matter what we did we could not come up with a nickel . Three weeks later our credit report came back and the only thing on it was the $20,000. 00 doctor bill. I wanted to cry. We owed so much, and couldn't seem to get ahead. I called the doctor we owed the money to and asked him if he would take it out of the credit bureau and let us pay $10.00 a week on it. That's all we could afford. He laughed and said No, I'm sorry but I can tell you what I will do. I will forgive it. I said I don't understand. He said, "Go and get that home for your babies. You no longer owe any money." He completely forgave it. We still faced the $1000.00 for the down payment. The owners called a couple of days later and told us they needed to move and could we just take over payments of $80.00 a month, This house was only 5 years old, 3 bedrooms , fenced in back yard, double car garage, 2 baths. Is GOD good. Later we were given wedding presents that totaled enough to close on the house. We didn't even know we needed money for that. We didn't do one thing for that house , Oh! yes, the owner told us even though the house was advertised in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram Not one other soul ever called about it or inquired about the house. God is such an Awesome Caring Father.
