REMEMBERING SEPT 11, 2001

We gather today to pay tribute
To the lives that were lost that day.
The loss was so profound and terrible
For them to have died in that way.

We pray for peace for their families
That only God above can give.
As long as we remember them
In our hearts they will always live.

We can never forget that terrible day
When death came as such a surprise
To that great number of souls
Who would never see another sunrise.

We hold them in remembrance
And we mourn them so in our hearts.
We will always hold them dear
Until this world our souls depart.
