To God be the Glory

Great Things He Hath Done

A Testimony by Pastor Rob

I have not told this story before because I feel It was just an
attention getter and this is not the reason I am telling this
story now. The glory belongs to the Lord, and I am writing this
now with this intention. To bring glory to Him and not myself.

I was nearing the end of my Ministry training classes at Trinity Christian Center in Riverside, California. Classes were in the evening, and like so many days it was very warm that day. I finished my supper and went to the scheduled class. There were several students missing that night and I sat down with an empty seat next to me, on either side. About ten minutes into the class, a young man entered the room and sat next to me. I greeted him and said hello and he responded with a smile. I noticed he was dressed in a green outfit like the bicycle riders wore. Several more minutes passed and he leaned toward me and said in a soft voice. "You need to be more bold," he stated. I responded with "what?" And he repeated himself, saying that I was going to be a good Pastor, but that I needed to be more bold."

I was just a little, shall I say, put off by this kid looking into my being. A problem I was in turmoil with myself. I am a shy person, and I kind of put off speaking as freely as some of the other students seemed to be able to do. I knew in my soul, that the Lord would give me the strength though, when the chips were down. However I was unexpectedly confronted with it that evening.

I looked at this young man again and I felt something magical about the aura he created around himself. He spoke again," I ride my bike all over L.A. he continued and I speak to gang members and the homeless about Jesus and his Love for all
of them."

"That is really great, " I replied. "It must take alot of confidence from the Lord, in order to do that."

This was on a Thursday night, and after class, I asked a
student and close friend if he had noticed the person sitting next to me.

He stated, "There was no one sitting next to you Rob." I proceeded to ask other class members, and they all said the same thing. "There was no one sitting next to you".

A chill ran up and down my spine, even so it is still there and in my heart of hearts I knew I had encountered an Angel. A messenger. My very own Angel.

The following Sunday morning in Church, during Praise and
Worship, I saw the same person across the Sanctuary, arms raised, leading the music. He looked at me and smiled that same smile, the same look of peace on his face and nodded in my direction.
