| When my daughter Jessica was a small child of 4 years, she suddenly become terrified of the dark. We tried everything to help her. Night lights, music, whatever we could think of that might help. My son was only a few months old and she was keeping us all awake all night long. She would scream and hyperventilate literally when we made her go to her room alone. One night she had her night light and slept the whole night without waking us up. I wondered if she had called to us in the night and I had been too exhausted and not awakened, but when we asked her about it she told us this, "I was really scared till I saw the angel shadow on the wall." She never had problems at night again. She is 8 years old now and if you ask her she will still tell you about the angel shadow she saw. She believes it with all of her heart and so do I.
