Caleb II and Frances Shelton Osborn left Illinois with a wagon train en route for Texas. Frances (Fannie) became ill at Pocohontas, Arkansas and died there. One month later, Caleb II died. These were my grandparents. Later when my father, John Marion Lee Osborn, grew to manhood, he married Lillie Ann Bass, my Mother, and they lived in Arkansas and Missouri until finally moving to Memphis, Tenn.
