| DREAMIN'
I wish I had lived in the days
When ladies wore long dresses
And carried lacy parasols
And wore ribbons in their tresses
I would ride in a fancy carriage
With gold emblems on the door,
Pulled by chestnut horses
And red carpet on the floor
I'd dance in fancy ballrooms
And take high tea at four,
I'd have a maid and butler
to take care of the chores.
I'd wear a powdered wig
And paint a mole upon my face.
I'd curtsey before royalty
And observe all social grace.
I'd have a house in the country,
Another in the town
And when I tired of one
In the other I'd be found.
I'd travel up to London Town
To shop and visit friends.
I'd live a life of leisure
As ladies did back then.
