While attending a garage sale for a local charity, I met a woman who wore two angel pins on the lapel of her coat. I told her about my hobby of collecting good stories, told her two of my angel stories and asked her if she had one to share. She explained that she taught school in a one room school house in a remote area on the California coast, that she taught grades kindergarten through sixth grade, and that she had an interesting experience a couple weeks prior to the beginning of summer vacation. She was organizing papers on her desk when one of the little kindergarten girls pushed her desk up to the teacher's desk. Within a short period, two more little girls pushed their desks up to the teacher's desk. A little surprised but charmed by the experience, the teacher said, "Oh, it's like being surrounded by a group of little angels !" Without hesitation, one of the little girls looked up and answered, "Yes! We're here to protect you!" |
