A Snowfall From My Brother

An unusual event that occurred after my brother's murder
on December 7.

The family had gone to the funeral home to make the
arrangements. It was an unusually warm December day,
sunny and mild for this time of year. We were carrying
our coats, thinking what a beautiful day to have to do
such a sad thing.

As we looked at all the flowers to choose from, we talked and reminisced about my brother. The one thing that kept coming up was how much he had loved snow. We all shared stories. We finally decided to use all white flowers to simulate snow.

It was a tear filled afternoon.

We were all cried out as we stepped out of the building to
find a beautiful snowfall. It was still warm but it was snowing Huge fluffy snowflakes. It was so unusual that all the employees of the funeral home came out and commented on this freaky snowfall. It snowed for 5 min and stopped!

The people went back in and we drove home, smiling.

I thank God for the gift of that snowfall.

Mary
