SOMEONE HOLDS THE ROPE

(From the work of Helen Kitchell Evans)

So often when someone we love
Is filled with strife and woe
We want to reach out to them
We want to help them so.

But often there is nothing
We can really do
But pray for God's true guidance
That He will lead them through.

When they must climb their cliff alone
We pray that they may cope
And gain some courage just to know
That someone holds the rope.
